If you are interested in joining a team like ours, but are not sure what the necessary qualifications are, we’re going to provide you with information regarding how to become a licensed Plumber or HVAC Technician. Fortunately, a college education is often not required. Many local trade or vocational schools and community colleges offer certificates in Plumbing or HVAC systems. Some of the same schools do offer an Associate’s degree with more information and courses training you in the given field. These types of programs take about 2 years, depending on your schedule and course load. Once you finish your chosen program, you can become an apprentice to a licensed plumber. You should work as an apprentice for 2-5 years. This critical requirement provides you with valuable hands-on knowledge that can only be gained through experience.
